Dibucaine Ointment USP 1% is used
to relieve pain and itching caused by
hemorrhoids, sunburn or other minor
burns, insect bites or stings, poison ivy,
poison oak, poison sumac, minor cuts, or
scratches. Dibucaine Ointment USP 1% is
a topical anesthetic. It produces numbness
for a short period of time by stopping
nerves from sending pain impulses to
the brain.
